Central Florida Public Affairs Welcomes Rachael Kobb as Senior Policy Advisor

Kobb brings more than a decade of government affairs, fundraising and campaign experience to the Orlando-based firm that specializes in government relations and community engagement.

Orlando, FL — Central Florida Public Affairs (CFPA) announces Rachael Kobb has joined the firm as Senior Policy Advisor to lead the strategic advancement of regional economic, policy and social mobility goals.

With more than a decade of experience as a government affairs professional, fundraiser and campaigner, Kobb brings deep policy knowledge, strategic communication skills and accomplished leadership engagement abilities to navigate issues and build coalitions that positively impact public, private and community organizations as well as constituents.

A seasoned public affair professional and campaigner, Kobb most recently served as Campaign Manager for Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer’s successful re-election where she exceeded fundraising goals and contributed to protecting and enhancing the Mayor’s receival of the electorate’s vote as mayor

Prior to that, she served as Vice President of Public Affairs & Communications for the Orlando Economic Partnership where she led the organization’s transportation and semiconductor policy initiatives and was instrumental in driving millions of dollars in federal investments into the Orlando region. Kobb also touts an extensive background in healthcare policy and financing, having served on the Orlando Health government relations team for eight years.

Kobb is an active and engaged citizen who lends her leadership talents to several local community organizations. She serves as the Second Vice President for the Tiger Bay Club of Central Florida Board of Directors as well as an Advisory Council Member of Valencia College Horizon Scholars program.

She previously served as Chair of the Seminole County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and as well as an appointed member of Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings’ Housing for All Task Force. She has served on the Orlando Ballet Board of Directors and led the negotiation of the strategic partnership between Orlando Health and the Orlando Ballet Volunteer Medical Team. She is a graduate of Leadership Florida – Connect, America’s Essential Hospitals – Government Relations Academy, Leadership Orlando Class 90, Leadership Seminole Class 25, and Athena NextGen.

Kobb was also recognized by the Orlando Business Journal as a “40 Under 40” honoree in 2017 and Becker’s Healthcare Review as a “Rising Star: 90 Healthcare Leaders Under 40” in 2018. She earned her master’s degree in public administration from the University of Central Florida and received her bachelor’s degree from Temple University in her hometown of Philadelphia where she majored in political science. Kobb lives in downtown Orlando with her husband, Eric, and two young children, Levon and Marlena.
